Application Architect

Design and lead the architecture of Telia’s Digital Services & Channels platform, driving cloud-native, scalable systems and AI-powered engineering across multiple teams.
We’re looking for a Software Architect to join us at Telia.
I’m Monika Ažukaitė, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on shaping scalable digital services and channels through modern engineering, cloud architecture, and AI-powered innovation.
What you’ll do:
Shape the technical vision of our Digital Services & Channels platform, leading architecture across multiple engineering teams.
• Define and evolve the architecture of our Digital Services & Channels platform
• Lead technical decisions across multiple engineering teams
• Design scalable, resilient, secure, and cloud-native applications
• Drive platform modernization, AI-powered engineering, technical simplification, and a culture of continuous learning
What will help you thrive in this role:
You bring strong architectural judgement, an engineering mindset, and curiosity to turn emerging AI technologies into practical value.
• Proven experience in designing large-scale distributed applications and modern cloud architectures
• Strong knowledge of microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and software engineering; Java is a plus
• Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams while balancing strategic vision with pragmatic delivery
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and modern AI concepts, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG, MCP, prompt engineering, and AI integration patterns

Monthly salary range for this position – 6000 - 7500 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
