Application Business Analyst
Summary
The Application Business Analyst supports and enhances key business applications, acting as the liaison between business users, IT, and vendors, handling administration, releases, reporting and data governance, with a focus on SQL and Power BI.

We are currently looking for a Application Business Analyst to join our team based out of our London office.
The role will act as a key role in supporting and enhancing critical business applications across the organisation, Acting as the link between business stakeholders, IT teams and external system providers, you'll be responsible for ensuring our systems are operating effectively, supporting business processes, and continuously evolving to meet changing business needs. You'll take ownership of application administration, system improvements, release management, reporting, and data governance activities, helping to drive efficiency and deliver a positive user experience across the business.Key elements of this role include but are not limited to:
- Manage and support key business applications, ensuring they remain effective, reliable and aligned to business requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact between business users, IT teams and third-party vendors.
- Coordinate system upgrades, releases and enhancements, including testing, deployment and user communications.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate business needs into practical system solutions.
- Manage user access, permissions and governance controls.
- Produce and develop management reporting, dashboards and data insights
We're looking for a candidate who combines strong technical capability with excellent business engagement skills. The ideal applicant will have experience supporting or managing business-critical systems, gathering requirements, driving system improvements, and managing change within a complex environment. They will be a confident communicator, able to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and translate technical concepts into clear, practical solutions. A highly organised, process-driven approach, alongside the ability to adapt to changing priorities, is essential. Experience within insurance - particularly within operational teams is essential, while knowledge of SQL and/or Power BI would be beneficial. Success in this role will come from being proactive, curious and collaborative, with a strong sense of ownership, a focus on continuous improvement, and a genuine passion for making systems and processes work more effectively for the business
