PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
ITS serves all DSS program areas to fulfill their IT needs. To meet the business needs and ITS' workload, ITS is seeking qualified candidates in the areas of Database design, architecture, and development, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of various systems that ITS supports across DSS program areas.
TASK & DUTIES:
- Develop system design specifications
- Analyze existing software or work to formulate logic for complex new systems and devise complex algorithms.
- Design, develop, modify and assist in deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts.
- Develop programming tools to follow software specifications
- Develop or advise detailed architecture for correspondence and printing, workflow, integration and migration, auditing and archiving.
- Perform system design and develop DataStage jobs
- Develop powerful Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) solutions using IBM Infosphere DataStage to support the collection; integration and transformation of large volumes of data, with data structures ranging from simple to highly complex
- Fine tune DataStage jobs and queries to achieve optimized performance benefits.
- Involved in performance tuning of DataStage jobs to ensure that they execute without warnings
- Develop database scripts for stored procedures and Functions using SQL Server and Oracle tools for application development
- Perform data quality and profiling activities, advise on data quality issues and provide analysis on data collection and integration
- Program in SQL Server to perform the data query by designing cubes and dashboards
- Providing programming assistance when needed
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:
- IBM Infosphere DataStage & Quality stage Developer Experience
- Microsoft reporting products, including SharePoint, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services
- Curam V6 Certified Developer Experience working in the technical architecture field.
- HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, open source Java framework, (Struts/Springs), Ajax (JQuery, Dojo), SOA, and WebServices
- WebSphere, ESB or Message Broker, Eclipse, JIRA, Webservice, and Oracle
- Real world delivery experience
