Application Developer

Job Summary

Support and enhance Oracle applications across multiple business functions to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional support for Oracle applications including Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production Planning & Control to ensure smooth operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues by analyzing problems and developing effective solutions
• Collaborate with plant teams to address IT issues promptly and maintain operational continuity
• Participate in development projects and system upgrades by conducting GAP analysis, identifying re-engineering opportunities, and applying new release functionalities
• Configure and set up Oracle applications, perform system testing, and deliver user training to optimize system usage
• Provide on-call support to maintain 24/7/365 manufacturing operations without disruption
• Develop recommendations to streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiencies
• Ensure adherence to Parent Company Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support IT and business objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Comprehensive experience with Oracle functionality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Understanding of relational database concepts with experience in SQL and Visual Basic

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Financial applications
• Knowledge of Oracle Developer tools such as TOAD, Oracle Report Builder, Oracle Form Builder, and Java
• Experience with application setup and configuration processes
• General knowledge of computer and printer hardware
• Familiarity with other ERP software
