Application Developer, AVP

Summary

The Application Developer (AVP) will lead a development team in Hangzhou to maintain and enhance the Collateral Management Workstation, a web-based financial system. The role involves managing the full development lifecycle, supporting production environments, and migrating applications to AWS.

Collateral Management Workstation (CMW): It is a Web-based application of Collateral Management System that enables users to closely monitor the day-to-day values of collateral held by the clients, making sure that collateral is sufficient enough to meet the client’s exposure. The system also interacts with external systems such as MCH, AMP, Corp Instruct, GTM, BBIDC, FXR GPS, WMI, MYSS interactive view, etc., to meet customer's collateral management needs. We employ people from a diverse set of backgrounds, but primarily we look for:

  • Creative thinkers who are motivated by challenging problems

  • Desire to work within a collaborative, team-driven environment

  • Solid knowledge of Java in low-latency infrastructure and architecture

  • Proven success working with large scaling software or financial system

  • Experience developing low-latency, high performance system in a trading environment is desirable but not necessary

What you will be responsible for

As an Application Leader you will

  • Lead the CMW development team and work closely with dev, qa, product owner, business users and engaging into technical improvement projects.

  • Work on the business delivery projects.

  • Be proactively support the production environment, detect live issue, and resolve them in a certain short window.

  • Help move the application to cloud (AWS).

  • 8 years+ working experience within software development area.

  • Experience with software development lifecycle and software development common practices.

  • Ability to drive development/testing/support activities by effectively coordinating with multiple stakeholders globally.

  • Familiar with cloud platforms like AWS Cloud

  • Ability to lead a dev team to deliver.

  • Strong communication skills, detail oriented, and highly responsible. Good English

  • Ability to learn new technologies. Familiar with AI tools like copilot.
