Lead and manage a team of SREs and production support engineers to ensure system reliability and stability. Drive incident management, enforce SLOs/SLAs, optimize support processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high-performing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to maintain system reliability and stability
  • Monitor system health and performance to proactively identify and address issues
  • Lead incident response efforts during service interruptions or performance degradations, providing timely updates to Engineering management
  • Mentor, coach, and develop SRE and production support team members to promote continuous learning and improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and resolve production issues, ensuring alignment and effective decision-making
  • Streamline support processes by leveraging automation and fostering team collaboration to improve operational efficiency
  • Apply working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Cobol, or Front End technologies to support system reliability initiatives
  • Utilize observability tools and practices to enhance monitoring and incident detection capabilities
  • Apply solid experience in incident management and SRE improvements for applications serving diverse audiences including back office and channels
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in support optimization to enhance service delivery and reduce downtime

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in the financial industry, especially insurance, is preferred
