Application Development Manager
About the Role
As Owner of the Core Trading Pipeline, you will lead the architecture and system evolution of our low-latency, high-throughput trading infrastructure, driving 0-to-1 builds and system upgrades across digital assets perpetuals and spot markets.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Delivery: Design core trading pipelines (order execution engine, order routing, pre-trade risk controls, position management, and reconciliation) achieving 10k+ TPS, P99 < 5ms latency, and 99.999% uptime.
Performance Engineering: Optimize in-memory matching engines, WAL/snapshots, zero-copy shared memory buses, GC tuning, and network stacks for maximum throughput and sub-millisecond efficiency.
Venue Integration: Connect market data feeds and execution APIs across global trading venues; partner closely with quantitative strategy teams to deploy automated trading systems.
Engineering Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing software engineering team (5–20 engineers), owning technology stack selection, code quality standards, and CI/CD governance.
Requirements
Experience: 8+ years in backend architecture; 5+ years of hands-on experience in low-latency core trading systems.
Tech Stack: Expert in Go (Preferred), C++, Rust, or Java with deep knowledge of concurrency models, memory management, and distributed systems.
Track Record: Proven ability to build from scratch (0-to-1) or refactor core execution engines, order routing, or risk monitoring systems with quantifiable latency and throughput wins.
Leadership: Proven track record in managing software engineering teams (5+ engineers) with strong technical ownership and cross-functional communication (Quant/Risk/Business).
Nice-to-Haves
Background in high-frequency trading (HFT), quantitative trading firms, or digital asset platforms.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, Redis, WebSocket streaming, and Cloud-Native DevOps ecosystems.
