Application engineer – ami
Responsibilities
Accountable for the end‑to‑end solutions and provision of technical leadership to ensure compliance with security, scalability, flexibility, maintainability and other non‑functional requirements.
Responsible for articulating the architectural vision, conceptualizing and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches, creating models and component and interface specification documents, and validating the architecture against requirements and assumptions.
Be the technical interface to suppliers and customers during phases of a project and coordinate with the KM relative department on all technical issues related to AMI operation and maintenance.
Presentation of complex technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Continuously expand knowledge and specialization of technology, design patterns and products.
Review designers, recommend development, identify and understand technical opportunities, constraints and issues with a solution given existing components in place.
IT strategic development and planning, portfolio management and future expansion directions.
Coordinate the planning, design, and installation of equipment in an industrial environment, using knowledge of engineering and programming, as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.
Data migration and system integration.
Gather requirements, write specifications and test plans.
Perform other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
Minimum eight years’ experience, with at least two years in application/software/solution architecture engineering.
Development experience in C#, Java and My SQL database.
Experience with serial interfaces (RS232, SPI) and embedded firmware in C.
Experience with Zig Bee, Wi Fi, Z‑Wave applications.
Previous support and FAE experience.
Experience with a bug tracking system.
