What you’ll do:

• Responsible for the development and validation of steering wheel products pre and post-SoP

• Lead, execute and support various project activities during technical phases of awarded programs.

• This role will require collaboration with all CFT team members (divisional and global), interface with OEM’s, internal supporting groups, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.

• Creating / Validating Product Design for Steering Wheel and Driver Airbag

• Working with the customer to negotiate styling vs. Autoliv standard design/processes.

• Working with global team members to locally validate and launch global programs.

• Balance between easy to manufacture and meeting customer needs.

• Understanding customer specifications and ensuring product is designed/validated accordingly.

• Driving the design to meet 1P1P expectations.

What is required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Advanced English skills

• Highly desired previous experience with StW, DAB, Automotive Interior Class A Component Design, Product Design, CAE

• Ability to understand manufacturing needs e.g., Die cast, RIM, Injection Molding, Stamping, Assy

• Interpreting CAE Results

• Problem Solving Skills
