Application Engineer

What you’ll do:

Responsible for the development and validation of steering wheel products pre and post-SoP

Lead, execute and support various project activities during technical phases of awarded programs.

This role will require collaboration with all CFT team members (divisional and global), interface with OEM’s, internal supporting groups, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.

Creating / Validating Product Design for Steering Wheel and Driver Airbag

Working with the customer to negotiate styling vs. Autoliv standard design/processes.

Working with global team members to locally validate and launch global programs.

Balance between easy to manufacture and meeting customer needs.

Understanding customer specifications and ensuring product is designed/validated accordingly.

Driving the design to meet 1P1P expectations.

What is required:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Advanced English skills

• Highly desired previous experience with StW, DAB, Automotive Interior Class A Component Design, Product Design, CAE

Ability to understand manufacturing needs e.g., Die cast, RIM, Injection Molding, Stamping, Assy

Interpreting CAE Results

Problem Solving Skills
