Job Summary

We are looking for an Application Engineer to provide technical and application support for industrial electrical equipment and automation solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales, engineering and project teams to understand customer requirements, recommend suitable products and develop technical solutions for various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support for industrial electrical equipment, including motors, generators, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and power conversion systems.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable equipment and engineering solutions based on technical specifications.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, equipment selections and documentation to support sales enquiries and tender submissions.
• Review customer specifications, electrical drawings and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Work closely with the sales team to provide technical clarification and support during customer meetings and presentations.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical queries and application-related issues.
• Support project execution, equipment integration, testing and commissioning activities when required.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to explain product features and application benefits.
• Keep updated on industry developments, product technologies and relevant electrical engineering standards.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in application engineering, electrical engineering or technical support within an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with electrical equipment such as motors, generators, variable frequency drives, power electronics or industrial automation systems.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, electrical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, quotations or tender documents will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with relevant engineering software is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel locally or regionally for customer meetings and site visits when required.

Candidates with experience in industrial electrical equipment, power systems, heavy machinery, industrial automation or engineering solutions are encouraged to apply.
