Application Engineer

Experts Group International is seeking an Application Engineer for its client, a semiconductor test equipment manufacturer, in Umbria, Italy. You will develop and validate test applications for customers’ devices, taking projects from hardware design through to final validation.

This hands-on role combines hardware, software and direct customer contact, with responsibilities spanning design, integration and documentation across multiple projects.

Designing test boards (schematic design) Developing test patterns and test programs Integrating the test board, test program and device under test (DUT), including debug and validation of applications across temperature Producing, managing and archiving all technical documentation for each project Managing in-house qualification services A degree in Electronic Engineering. Knowledge of the different technology families of electronic and semiconductor devices. Experience with DxDesigner and Expedition (or similar schematic/PCB design tools). Programming skills in C/C++. Fluent Italian and good working English (preferred).
