Application Engineer – Industrial Adhesives & Tapes Solutions, Emerging Markets, Turkey & MEA (m/f/*)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Application Engineer at 3M, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing expertise in assembly solutions, 3M tapes and adhesive technologies, and product performance

• Designing, developing, testing, and delivering high-impact tapes and adhesive solutions that respond to customer needs and provide innovative solutions to customer challenges

• Working closely with customers and taking the technical lead in customer projects, supporting them through product selection, evaluation, design-in, and implementation processes

• Providing quick responses and effective resolutions to customer technical issues and inquiries

• Delivering product- and market-focused technical training and product demonstrations

• Generating, interpreting, and presenting technical data to key stakeholders

• Collaborating closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and manufacturing colleagues across the world

• Taking the technical lead to help drive and execute regional tapes and adhesive growth programs

• Leading technical activities for new product commercialization and helping build competitive value propositions for successful new product introductions

• Supporting regional customer field tests and gathering application insights

• Creating a bridge between customers and product engineering by harnessing market and application insights to help drive ideas for new product development

• Building compelling technical arguments for the use of 3M technologies and supporting growth of the tapes and adhesive business across the Emerging Market Region

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in preferably: Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline

• Experience in application engineering, technical service, product development, or customer-facing technical role

• Technical knowledge of adhesives, tapes, bonding, assembly solutions, materials, or related technologies

• Knowledge of transportation appliance and/or construction

• Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into practical technical solutions

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to generate, interpret, and present technical data

• Adhesive Automation skills and capability of working with AI tools

• English and Turkish language proficiency

Additional knowledge, nice-to-have skills, and preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience working directly with customers in industrial, manufacturing, automotive appliance, or related market segments

• Arabic language would be an asset
