Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced engineer to support advanced Silicon Photonics (SiPh) and Wafer Acceptance Test (WAT) solutions for leading semiconductor manufacturers.

This is a customer-facing role combining post-sales technical support and pre-sales technical consulting, working closely with engineering and production teams to deploy, optimise, and support advanced semiconductor test solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customer accounts following solution deployment.
  • Support installation, commissioning, optimisation, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support.
  • Work closely with customer engineering and manufacturing teams to improve test performance and system reliability.
  • Support customer evaluations, technical discussions, and solution demonstrations.
  • Recommend appropriate test configurations, instrumentation, and measurement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, applications, and commercial teams to deliver effective technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as an Application Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Field Applications Engineer, or Test Engineer within the semiconductor industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Silicon Photonics (SiPh), Optical Test, WAT, Parametric Test, or related semiconductor test technologies.
  • Strong understanding of optical/electrical testing, test automation, and system integration.
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing/production environments.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking customers and stakeholders.
