Application Engineer - Trucking

You will lead a strategic trucking-autonomy program from development through real-world deployment. You will serve as the technical bridge between the customer and engineering teams, manage milestones and risks, translate autonomy goals into technical plans, lead knowledge transfer, investigate on-road issues, and coordinate autonomy demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Drive quarterly program milestones, including scope, acceptance criteria, progress tracking, and customer reporting
• Plan and lead customer working sessions, technical reviews, and program meetings
• Lead the knowledge transfer program and support customer engineers
• Align engineering teams and resolve cross-functional delivery topics
• Translate customer autonomy goals into technical requirements and plans
• Investigate on-road issues and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Channel deployment insights into product and engineering roadmaps
• Plan and execute on-road autonomy demonstrations

Requirements

• Professional proficiency in Japanese and experience working with Japanese companies
• 3+ years of experience leading customer-facing technical programs, systems integration, or complex engineering projects
• Systems thinking and engineering trade-off analysis
• Technical foundation in software systems
• Stakeholder management across functions, organizations, and cultures
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and deliver under tight timelines
