Summary

An application engineer sizes and selects industrial control/on-off valves for customers, writes technical proposals and documentation, troubleshoots field issues, and delivers training on valve systems and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Consultation & Selection: Interpret complex customer process data sheets to size and select optimal control and on-off valve configurations, ensuring compatibility with process conditions (pressure, temperature, fluid velocity, cavitation, and flashing risks).
  2. Proposal Collaboration: Partner closely with the Sales and Project Engineering teams to review commercial tenders, address technical clarifications, and generate robust, competitive technical proposals.
  3. Documentation & Compliance: Author and review comprehensive technical documentation, including product datasheets, dimensional drawings, and material compliance certifications, ensuring strict adherence to international standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI/FCI, ISA).
  4. Troubleshooting & Lifecycle Support: Diagnose and resolve complex field application issues, providing root-cause analysis and actionable solutions to enhance valve performance, reliability, and service life.
  5. Knowledge Transfer: Design and deliver technical training modules and product seminars for internal sales forces, distributors, and end-user engineering teams.
  6. Market Alignment: Monitor evolving industry regulations, materials science advancements, and competitor technologies to support continuous product improvement and alignment with market demands.
