🌟 About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled Application Operations Engineer to join our growing Tech team.

This is not a traditional support role. You’ll be at the heart of our transition from Application Support to modern Application Operations (AppOps) — owning application reliability, driving automation, and ensuring our systems run smoothly at scale.

A key part of this role is Identity & Access Management, where you’ll leverage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) to deliver secure, automated, and scalable access to business-critical applications.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

🧩 Own Application Reliability

• Take ownership of the availability, performance, and stability of key business applications

• Monitor system health, integrations, and user experience

• Proactively detect and prevent issues before they impact users

🚨 Lead Incident & Problem Management

• Act as a key owner in application incident management (Tier 2/3)

• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis

• Drive post-incident reviews and continuous improvements

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and external vendors

👁️ Build Monitoring & Observability

• Configure and improve monitoring, alerting, and logging

• Tune alerts to reduce noise and improve signal quality

• Identify trends and risks early using data and metrics

🔐 Drive Identity & Access Management (Entra ID)

• Manage user provisioning and deprovisioning across applications

• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and access governance

• Work with:

• Access packages & entitlement management

• Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

• Automated joiner/mover/leaver (JML) workflows

• Ensure least privilege and zero-trust principles are enforced

• Support audits, access reviews, and compliance initiatives

⚙️ Automate & Improve

• Identify repetitive tasks and automate operational processes

• Improve monitoring, deployments, and recovery procedures

• Contribute to reducing incidents and improving system resilience

🤝 Collaborate Across Teams

• Act as a bridge between business, development, infrastructure, and security teams

• Provide feedback to improve application design and operability

What We’re Looking For

✅ Must-have

• Experience in application support and/or application operations

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD):

• User lifecycle management (JML)

• Access control (RBAC, groups)

• Identity governance concepts

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Please note that this role involves working from the office three days per week.

💡 Nice to have

• Experience with monitoring / observability tools (APM, logs, tracing)

• Knowledge of identity automation and access governance frameworks

• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and SaaS ecosystems

• Experience with automation (scripts, workflows, or tooling)
