Application Software Engineer (C/C++, Matlab/ Simulink)
Summary
VinFast is hiring an Application Software Engineer to develop in-house ECU application software (EDS, DCDC, OBC, VCU, BCM) for its electric vehicles. Day to day, the engineer designs and models software in MATLAB/Simulink, writes C code, and builds test specs, running SIL/HIL and prototype-vehicle testing and calibration in an international automotive team.

responsibilities:
- Part of Automotive Embedded Software team to
develop Vinfast’s In house ECU (EDS,
DCDC, OBC, VCU, BCM,…)
- Implementation,
improving and testing Application Software requirements.
- Improve and develop software requirement
specification
- Conceptualize new software design for
improvement, optimization or transform existing software algorithm
- Design and model new software design in
model-based tool, develop the software codes and create software test
specification
- Work in tandem with team members using
develop-review-testing principle (Four-Eyes-Principles) in all ASW software
works. Coordinate with other department to reach the maximum output potential.
- Design ASW software design detail specification
and testing guidelines in model-based (SIL)
- Design and execute software components and
system level test & calibration in the HIL Lab or Prototype Vehicle
- Continuously discover, evaluate, implement new
technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Software test for robustness, including edge
cases, usability and deliver software release.
Requirements
• At least 3 years experience and Good technical in Matlab/Simulink
• At least 3 years experience and Good knowledge in embedded environments, C programming including proven ability to use model-based tools and calibration tools in Automotive Electronic Industry
• Interested in Automotive Technology (It’s good to have experience in Automotive Industy)
• Willingness to meet deadlines, self-management skills
• Work closely within team members and other departments in an international environment
• Good English written and oral communication skills
• Bachelor/Master graduation in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent degree
Preferred qualification:
• Have knowledge of Powertrain and Dynamic system in EV
• Experience in model-based development of automotive software components with HIL Real-Time validation
• Experience with engineering process models and tools (ASPICE, ISO26262, Agile, EA, DOORS)
• Hand-on experience with development platform (dSPace, Vector Tools, ETAS INCA, MATLAB)
• Experience with in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet), Unified Diagnostic Service (UDS), XCP measurement and calibration
• Experience with Automotive Functional Safety is a plus
