Application Solution Architect

Application Solution Architect

Location: Plano, TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end application architecture aligned with business and technology goals.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using modern architectural principles.
  • Lead application modernization initiatives, including microservices and cloud-native solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, infrastructure, and security teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Define architecture standards, best practices, and technical roadmaps.
  • Review solution designs and provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software development or application architecture experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Application Architect.
  • Strong experience designing enterprise applications and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with or strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native application design.
  • Familiarity with container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, EKS, or similar cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and modern software engineering practices.
  • AWS certifications are a plus but not required.
