Application Support Engineer - 12 Month Agency Contract

Salary: $4,500 – $6,000 per month

Overview

• Provide application support, maintenance, and enhancements for the Bank's critical payment applications supporting Cross Border Payments, MEPS+ and FAST-RT schemes.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for payment applications.

• Perform incident management, problem management including detailed root cause analysis.

• Troubleshoot application, middleware, database, and integration issues.

• Proactively recommend improvements to enhance system stability, productivity, and maintainability.

• Support application releases, deployments, and production changes.

• Participate in BCP/DR drills and operational readiness activities.

• Monitor payment transactions, application performance, and system health.

• Analyze payment transaction data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

• Deliver enhancements, bug fixes, and maintenance activities.

• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support knowledge transfer.

• Coordinate with business users, vendors, and infrastructure teams.

• Support software upgrades, enhancements, testing, and validation activities.

Requirement

• 3 to 5 years of application development and/or production support experience in Banking domain.

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Framework, Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic, .NET, BizTalk technologies.

• Experience with Linux and Windows environments.

• Understanding of APIs and Microservices.

• Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices.

• Experience supporting payment systems such as Cross Border Payments, MEPS+, FAST-RT, or similar real-time payment platforms.

• Good understanding of ISO 20022 messaging standards.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Exposure to ITIL Incident and Problem Management processes.

• Understanding of Junit, PMD Tools and SonarQube.
