Application Support Engineer- IBM System Administration
Salary: ₱100,000 – ₱120,000 per month
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our essential business systems. In this role, you will lead incident resolutions, guide team members, and ensure the continuous reliability and performance of enterprise systems through proactive monitoring and effective stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as an SME to guide, mentor, and manage team performance and technical decision-making.
Lead cross-team efforts to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues and incidents.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely service request resolutions.
Drive continuous improvement by establishing best practices, SOPs, and task automation.
Oversee system stability, capacity planning, backup/recovery procedures, and performance tuning.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IBM AS/400 Administration.
Core Expertise: Deep knowledge of IBM AS/400 system architecture, operational procedures, and performance optimization.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in troubleshooting complex enterprise system issues, backup/recovery protocols, and operational scripting/automation.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead team decisions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across multi-functional teams.
