Application Support Engineer (MariaDB SQL, RCA ,Kubernetes, VMware, Unix Shell)

Responsibilities:

• Provide application support and troubleshoot application-related issues in a production environment.
• Perform technical troubleshooting using Linux, Unix Shell Scripting, SQL (preferably MariaDB) and Java programming.
• Conduct structured impact analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve application incidents.
• Support application implementation projects within financial institutions.
• Troubleshoot applications involving Hadoop, Kubernetes/VMware Pacific and microservices concepts.
• Maintain high service quality in a 24x7 support environment through effective communication and analytical problem-solving.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in an Application Support environment.
• Hands-on experience in Linux, Unix Shell Scripting, SQL (preferably MariaDB) and Java programming.
• Strong Experience in Hadoop, Kubernetes/VMware Pacific and microservices concepts would be an added advantage.
• Experience in financial products and application implementation projects within financial institutions would be preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform structured impact analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure and maintain high service quality in a 24x7 support environment.
