Application Support Engineer - Renewable Contract

- Monday - Friday: 9AM - 6.15PM
Responsibilities
Respond to customer and sales representatives’ enquiries regarding product specifications, capabilities and applications via phone and email.
Troubleshoot technical issues remotely and on-site, identifying problems and recommending appropriate solutions.
Conduct product application testing and demonstrate product functionality to customers and sales representatives.
Provide on-site technical support, including system setup, configuration, adjustments and fine-tuning.
Conduct post-sales application training and prepare or update relevant training manuals and documentation.
Support sales representatives during customer visits and product presentations when required.
Identify opportunities to improve departmental workflows and operational efficiency.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and technical support standards.
Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to provide technical assistance.
- Familiarity with logic control, Microsoft Excel and industrial communication protocols such as Serial, Modbus TCP, Ethernet and EtherNet/IP.
- Basic knowledge of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) programming.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
