Application Support Engineer (supporting US and Asia-Pacific markets)
Application Support Engineer (supporting US and Asia-Pacific markets)
Wrocław | B2B | International Trading Technology | US & APAC Support
Tap.Talent is looking for an Application Support Engineer on behalf of our US-based client- a technology company delivering advanced solutions for electronic and algorithmic trading.
You will be part of a team supporting clients across different time zones - including the US and Asia-Pacific.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, working directly with international clients and wants to develop their career in a highly specialised technology environment.
Working hours- supporting US and Asia-Pacific markets
This role is designed around supporting clients in different global markets.
During the onboarding and training period, you will initially work primarily during US business hours, working closely with the US-based team and clients, learning the systems and processes.
Once you are fully trained and able to work independently, you will move to a rotational shift schedule covering US and Asia-Pacific clients:
Second/ US shift: 16:00-00:30 - supporting US business hours
Third/ AP shift: 00:00-08:30 - supporting Asia-Pacific hours
You should therefore be comfortable working both afternoon/evening and night shifts as part of a planned rotation.
These are regular full working shifts, not on-call or standby shifts. You will be responsible for providing full technical support throughout your scheduled working hours.
Each 8.5-hour shift includes a 30-minute paid lunch break, meaning 8 hours of actual working time.
There is a short overlap between the shifts to allow the team to hand over ongoing issues and important information.
Please note: the shift schedule and rotation model are currently planned and may be adjusted before final implementation.
Why is this role different?
This is much more than a traditional Application Support position.

Your responsibilities will combine:
technical troubleshooting
direct client communication
application support
client onboarding
project coordination
production issue investigation
process and efficiency improvements
Because the team is relatively small, your work will be highly visible and your contribution will have a real impact on the company and its clients.
What will you do?

Provide technical support to international clients
Analyse problems and identify their root causes
Troubleshoot Windows- and Linux-based applications and environments
Work with application and system logs
Use scripting for troubleshooting, automation and operational tasks

Support client onboarding and technical implementations
Participate in technical projects
Communicate directly with English-speaking clients
Cooperate with colleagues across different time zones
Identify opportunities to improve support processes and team efficiency
Bring your own ideas and solutions
What are we looking for?
You don't have to tick every box- what matters most is your technical mindset, curiosity and willingness to solve problems.
Experience in Technical Support, Application Support or a similar technical role
Solid experience with MS Windows environments

Practical SQL experience or willingness to develop it
Fluent English and confidence communicating directly with international clients
