The Role

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be the go-to person for keeping business-critical applications available, stable and high-performing. This is a 12-month onsite contract where you will troubleshoot incidents, enhance applications and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable solutions. We currently have 2 openings for Malaysian nationals.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, maintain and support enterprise applications to ensure high availability and performance

• Investigate and resolve incidents, problems and service requests within agreed SLAs

• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurring issues

• Collaborate with development teams on bug fixes, enhancements and deployment activities

• Manage application configurations, patches and upgrades across production and non-production environments

• Document processes, troubleshooting steps and technical solutions for knowledge sharing

• Provide on-call support and take part in incident management during critical outages

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is desired

• Strong understanding of application architecture and support methodologies

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL)

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (e.g., Shell, Python)

• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management) and Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

• Knowledge of Java/.NET applications, middleware technologies, API integrations and web services

• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, with strong communication and collaboration skills

• Malaysian nationality only
