Application System Analyst - Banking Technology
About the role
We are looking for System Analysts / Senior System Analysts to support banking applications across domains such as Core Banking, Loans, Credit, Wealth Management, Payments, AML/KYC, Transaction Monitoring and other vendor banking platforms.
Key responsibilities
Gather and analyse business and system requirements with Business Users and Business Analysts.
Translate requirements into Functional Specifications (FSD) and Technical Design Specifications (TSD).
Prepare interface specifications, data mapping and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
Perform system impact analysis and propose suitable application solutions.
Work closely with developers, architects, infrastructure teams and software vendors on system implementation.
Review vendor/development deliverables to ensure they meet functional and technical requirements.
Support SIT, UAT, deployment and post-production validation.
Troubleshoot application, interface, database and production issues.
Provide Level 3 application support and coordinate issue resolution with technical teams and vendors.
Maintain system documentation in accordance with banking SDLC and delivery standards.
About you
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
Relevant System Analyst experience within banking, financial services or enterprise applications.
Strong experience preparing FSD, TSD, interface specifications and data mapping.
Good understanding of the full SDLC, including requirements, design, testing, deployment and production support.
Experience working with external application/vendor software is preferred.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
Key Technical Skills: Java, Oracle SQL / SQL, REST API / Web Services, JSON / XML, Database and data mapping, Application/System Integration, Unix / Linux, Batch/File Interfaces, SFTP, Production Support / Troubleshooting.
Experience in one or more of the following banking domains is preferred: Core Banking, Loans, Credit, Wealth Management, Payments, Deposits, AML/KYC, Transaction Monitoring, Financial Crime, Customer Management or other banking vendor applications.
