Applications Architect III

The Application Developer Architect III partners with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and technical peers to translate business requirements into resilient technical solutions that enhance customer experience, improve system reliability, and support efficient software delivery. This position leverages modern DevOps practices and AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity, streamline testing and deployment, and elevate overall software quality.

This role includes a primary focus on Marketing Technology, supporting customer-facing digital experiences and the applications, platforms, and integrations that enable marketing execution, personalization, analytics, and ongoing optimization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Design, develop, and enhance complex application functionality in cloud and on-premises environments

• Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical solution design

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code using modern development frameworks

• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices

• Apply secure coding standards and implement data protection controls

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Business Analysts to refine requirements and outline technical solutions

• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including estimation and sprint planning

• Support monitoring, observability, and production stability of deployed solutions

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, accelerate development, and enhance testing coverage

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance

• Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and engineering practices

• Design and support applications and integrations that enable marketing platforms, customer engagement, and campaign execution, and customer-facing digital experiences

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

• 6–8+ years of progressive experience in application development

• Experience designing and deploying enterprise applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar platforms)

• Experience contributing to architectural design for multi-tier or distributed systems

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks

• Experience applying secure coding practices and performance optimization techniques

• Experience mentoring developers and guiding technical execution

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments

• Experience leveraging AI-enabled development tools to enhance productivity and release efficiency

Hard Skills

• Strong proficiency in modern development frameworks (e.g., Node.js, .NET, React, or similar stacks)

• Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth, JSON, and service-oriented architecture principles

• Cloud development experience (AWS, Azure, or similar)

• CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevOps practices

• Version control systems (Git)

• Application security (authentication, authorization, encryption)

• Performance tuning and application monitoring/observability

• Data modeling fundamentals

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (code generation, automated testing, intelligent monitoring)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field preferred.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
