Applications Development Service Delivery Manager

We're looking for an experienced Applications Development Service Delivery Manager who can lead application development teams, manage end-to-end software delivery, and ensure projects are delivered on time and meet client expectations. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in Java, AWS, cloud-native applications, and modern software development practices, combined with hands-on experience managing development teams and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Application Development: Oversee end-to-end software development and delivery, from planning and design to development, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Manage Technical Teams: Work closely with Java developers, full-stack and mobile developers, QA engineers, solution architects, and DevOps teams.

• Drive Delivery Excellence: Ensure projects meet timelines, quality standards, SLAs, and business requirements.

• Manage Client Relationships: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing project updates, managing expectations, and resolving delivery concerns.

• Handle Risks & Issues: Identify delivery risks, resolve technical blockers, and drive continuous improvement across development processes.

• Support Application Operations: Oversee application maintenance, production issues, enhancements, and ongoing technical support.

• Improve Development Practices: Promote Agile methodologies, CI/CD, automation, and modern software development practices to improve team productivity.

Qualifications:

• At least 8–10 years of experience in IT, with significant experience managing application development and software delivery teams.

• Strong background in Application Development Service Delivery Management, preferably in enterprise or financial services environments.

• Solid technical understanding of Java, AWS, cloud-native applications, APIs, and microservices architecture.

• Experience managing cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, solution architects, and DevOps engineers.

• Proven experience in end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile delivery, and release management.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, delivery priorities, and client expectations.

• Experience with full-stack and mobile application development.

• Exposure to AI-assisted software development and automation tools.

• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
