Location: Bloomer, WI
Catalytic Combustion is immediately hiring for an Applications Engineer. The Applications Engineer serves as the technical liaison between customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop and implement product solutions that meet customer requirements. This role provides technical expertise throughout the sales and project lifecycle, including product selection, application design, troubleshooting, and customer support. The Applications Engineer analyzes customer needs, develops customized solutions, prepares technical proposals, and ensures successful product implementation while supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsiblities include:
- Interacting with CCC sales staff and customers to understand requirements and specifications to recommended application specific solutions.
- Performing engineering design such as statics analysis, FEA, and CFD.
- Participating in new product development and continuous improvement of existing products.
- Working with mechanical and electrical designers and manufacturing staff to commercialize new products.
- Developing manufacturing processes to commercialize new products and continuously improve current processes.
- Preparing cost estimates and commercial proposals to present to customers.
- Interacting with suppliers to select appropriate components and equipment for products and manufacturing processes.
- Applying engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve customer application requirements and installed product operation.
- Occasional travel (10%).
Your Skills Should Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering program.
- Ability to apply engineering principles to solve complex problems.
- Strong organizational skills to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams as well as suppliers and customers.
- Deal effectively with time pressures, stress, and change.
- Knowledge or experience with SolidWorks, CFD/FEA, or programming languages (e.g., VBA, Python, Java, MATLAB) is a plus.
