Applications Engineer

Applications Engineer role outline:As an Applications Engineer, you'll act as the technical link between customers, engineering, and manufacturing teams, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to specification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating customer requirements into practical engineering solutions and technical documentation.
- Producing parts lists, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Acting as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting product design, implementation, and project delivery activities.
- Collaborating closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout production.
- Assisting with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) documentation and customer demonstrations.
- Coordinating procurement requirements and supporting the timely ordering of materials and components.
- Compiling technical information to support project close-out and invoicing activities.
- Maintaining engineering templates, technical documentation, O&M manuals, and label drawings.
- Supporting quality, safety, and business management system compliance.
- Participating in internal and external project meetings.
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- An engineering qualification or relevant engineering experience.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, automation, controls, electrical, or project-based environment.
- Strong technical documentation and organisational skills.
- The ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.
- Experience using engineering drawing packages such as AutoCAD would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with customers and internal stakeholders.
