The Application Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, customization, testing, and security for maintaining software and hardware applications to match the NINR and end user requirements to ensure systems operate reliably, securely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and study complex system requirements to design new systems and requirements.
- Supervise software configuration management.
- Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation.
- Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools
- Assist the Project Manager with estimating software development costs and schedule.
- Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.
