What We’re Looking For: We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced leader to join the Digital Operations Branch who are responsible for the performance, availability, resilience and security of critical digital services for Icon Water.
About this role: This role is responsible for leading the delivery, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of Icon Water’s business critical applications, ensuring they are reliable, secure, available and aligned to operational and strategic business needs. The role provides leadership across the application lifecycle and a diverse team of support specialists.
Responsibilities of this role: To be successful in this role you will be required to:
- Provide strong leadership and direction to application support teams, motivating a high performance and continuous improvement culture.
- Develop team plans aligning to business strategies and delivering against annual objectives.
- Lead the delivery, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of applications to ensure high availability, operational performance and business continuity.
- Manage application services, configurations, upgrades and lifecycle activities to ensure systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.
- Manage the planning and delivery of application enhancements, releases and small development projects including the development of work plans and release roadmaps.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve application governance and lifecycle management frameworks to support effective and sustainable technology services.
- Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills to translate the ideas of business stakeholders into technical requirements/roadmaps that the development team understands and implements.
- Act as a technical mentor and advisor to the team, providing feedback and suggestions for process /product improvements as well as leading complex incident resolution.
Who we are looking for: We’re seeking a dedicated individual who has a Tertiary Degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline.You should also have the following:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience, including motivating and influencing others to deliver business outcomes
- Significant demonstrable experience in the development, maintenance and support of ICT applications
- Experience in agile project delivery teams and Devops practices
- Industry recognised certifications; ITIL, AWS/Azure
- Experience in Microsoft365 Applications, Power platform and Dynamics365
- Working knowledge of Oracle WAM, MWM, SOA (desirable)
- Experience working in a Utility or similar asset intensive organisation (highly desirable)
- Ability and willingness to learn on Icon Water SaaS based applications.
- Working knowledge of SQL language (desirable)
- Problem-solving attitude with an ability to motivate team members to achieve service management goals and objectives
- Ability to learn new technologies and expand breadth of knowledge in organisational applications portfolio as per the need of project priorities
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
