Applied AI Engineer (Generative AI & AI Agents)

Salary: 80-120k THB

Our client is an established technology solutions provider supporting enterprise customers. We are seeking an innovative, hands-on Applied AI Engineer to develop, prototype, and integrate AI-powered solutions across digital products and business operations.

The successful candidate will work with modern Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and AI agents, to deliver practical AI applications that improve customer experience, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using pre-trained and fine-tuned AI models.
• Build Proof of Concept (POC) solutions to evaluate emerging AI technologies and business use cases.
• Develop and implement RAG pipelines, embeddings, semantic search, and vector database solutions.
• Design and build intelligent AI agents using modern frameworks and tools.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
• Optimise AI model performance, token usage, response quality, and API costs.
• Implement responsible AI practices covering security, privacy, fairness, and compliance.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, and recommend practical business applications.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing AI or Generative AI applications.
• Experience implementing AI solutions into a business, not just POCs.
• Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience working with LLMs and AI platforms such as OpenAI or Hugging Face.
• Practical experience implementing RAG, embeddings, and vector search.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate.
• Understanding of AI agents, prompt engineering, and API integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to turn business requirements into working AI solutions.

Advantageous Skills

• Experience with multimodal AI involving images, audio, video, or speech.
• Knowledge of cloud-based AI platforms and deployment environments.
• Experience optimising LLM performance, inference costs, and production reliability.
• Experience developing AI solutions for enterprise or customer-facing applications.
