Apprentice Dog Trainer

You are responsible for assisting a Dog Trainer and/or Senior Dog Trainer in all aspects of delivering training services at your assigned locations. This includes performing group classes, train and play sessions, and private lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing New Dog Integrations, Behavior Evaluations, and Walk Assessments
• Performing group classes, private lessons and Train and Play Sessions
• Following up directly with clients on the details of their dog’s behavior (whether results from training services or otherwise)
• Communicating the behavior needs of dogs to all relevant staff
• Training associates on recognizing key dog behavior in order to create a safe and fun environment for all dogs

• Driving revenue (both training and otherwise) from clients based on their dog’s behavior needs
• Documenting in detail all client communications and dog observations into PetShop
• Learning communication techniques to become an effective client advocate
• Studying and reading about dog behavior through resources in company library
• Assisting at off-site events

Salary: $16.00/ hour
