What does a Pharmaceutical Technician (m/f/d) actually do?
Pharmaceutical technicians work in the pharmaceutical industry and chemical companies.
What will my tasks as a Pharmaceutical Technician (m/f/d) be?
- You will work in the production of pharmaceuticals and be well-versed in handling active ingredients and excipients, their properties, and modes of action
- You will also be responsible for the packaging and storage of products according to regulations, often in sterile form
- You will ensure that all safety, health, and environmental regulations are met
- Furthermore, in addition to sterile filtration of injection solutions, you will also handle the calibration, validation, and maintenance of electronic control systems
- Finally, you will create and check the manufacturing and filling documentation
What do I need to bring to the table?
- You score points with a qualified secondary school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss)
- You also bring an interest in natural sciences (chemistry, mathematics, and physics), technical-physical understanding, and manual dexterity
- Personally, you convince us with the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams as well as diligence and accuracy
- You have very good German language skills and ideally good written and spoken English skills
What awaits you?
- Apprenticeship duration 3.5 years (shortening possible under certain conditions)
- Final examination Part I after 2 years with 30% weighting
- Final examination Part II after 3.5 years with 70% weighting
- Internship for solid dosage forms/ Internship for semi-solid preparations
