Job details

1. Test Analysts determine and then carry out testing activities to validate the design and behaviour of systems and services.
2. A Senior Test Engineer, APS Equivalent is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and reporting on system, integration, and user acceptance testing activities to support a complex CRM platform.
   A Senior Functional Test Engineer will ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements by identifying defects, managing test artefacts, supporting issue resolution, and providing quality assurance advice to project teams and stakeholders.

Key duties and responsibilities

Duties may include:

1. Plan and coordinate testing activities across system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing phases to ensure solutions meet agreed business and technical requirements.
2. Design, develop and execute test cases and test scripts, ensuring appropriate test coverage, traceability, and compliance with testing standards.
3. Identify, analyse and manage defects, working closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to support timely issue resolution and retesting.
4. Monitor and report on testing progress, risks, issues and quality metrics, providing clear recommendations to project managers and governance bodies.
5. Support continuous improvement of testing practices, including test automation, quality assurance processes, and the maintenance of testing tools and artefacts.
   

Knowledge/Qualifications

1. Demonstrated experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related ICT discipline, specifically on Siebel CRM platforms.
2. Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex ICT systems.
3. Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
4. ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Foundation Certification or higher.
5. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM, or similar.
6. Experience testing complex enterprise applications, web applications, databases, and system interfaces.

Technical skills

Software testing methodologies, regression Testing, and End-to-End Testing; develop test plans, test strategies, test cases, test scripts, test reports; use defect management and work management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM; understand software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile delivery methodologies, & DevOps practices; analytical skills; test complex applications; knowledge of quality assurance & ICT change/release process.
