Aquarist specialist

We are looking for an Aquarist Specialist to join our team!

If you enjoy working with aquariums, fish and shrimp, and don't mind getting your hands wet, this could be the role for you.

No extensive experience is required — we welcome entry-level applicants who are willing to learn and have a genuine interest in aquatic livestock.

Key Responsibilities

Aquarium & Livestock Care

• Perform daily feeding and general care of fish, shrimp and other aquatic livestock.
• Monitor livestock health, behaviour and overall condition.
• Carry out regular water changes and aquarium maintenance.
• Check basic water parameters and maintain good water quality.
• Clean tanks, filtration systems and aquarium equipment.
• Assist with acclimating newly arrived livestock.
• Identify and report any signs of illness, stress or unusual behaviour.
• Maintain clean, healthy and well-organised aquarium systems.

Packing & Operations

• Pick and prepare livestock according to customer orders.
• Pack live fish and shrimp carefully and securely for delivery.
• Ensure the correct livestock, quantity and condition before packing.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking and acclimating new livestock shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the packing and aquarium areas.
• Assist with stock counts and general inventory management.
• Support other day-to-day operational duties when required.

What We're Looking For

• Interest in aquariums, ornamental fish and/or shrimp.
• Responsible and attentive when handling live animals.
• Willingness to learn aquarium maintenance and livestock care.
• Able to perform hands-on work, including cleaning tanks and handling water.
• Organised and able to follow packing and operational procedures.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Previous aquarium or fishkeeping experience is a bonus, but not required.
