Earn Up to $27/Hour | Full-Time Leadership | Consistent Schedule | Alameda, CA
At AquaTech Swim, we're looking for an energetic, dependable, and people-focused leader to join our Alameda campus as a full-time Aquatics Operations Manager. This isn't your typical management job—and that's what makes it exciting!

You'll spend your days leading a team, coaching employees, teaching children essential swimming skills, connecting with families, and keeping our campus running smoothly. No sitting behind a desk all day. No two days exactly alike. Just meaningful work, an active environment, and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Compensation & Earning Potential
  • $25.00/hour guaranteed base rate for regular work hours
  • Earn $26.00/hour with our qualifying attendance bonus when regularly scheduled for one weekend day
  • Earn $27.00/hour with our qualifying attendance bonus when regularly scheduled for two weekend days
  • Attendance bonuses begin after your 90-day introductory period and are earned each qualifying two-week pay period
  • Consistent, full-time, year-round employment
  • Mandatory training is paid separately at $20/hour.
Benefits & Perks
  • Health and dental insurance for eligible employees
  • Paid sick leave
  • CalSavers retirement savings program
  • Complimentary group swim lessons for your children after the introductory period
  • 20% discount on AquaTech birthday parties
  • Free snacks and beverages during shifts
  • Company-provided uniforms
  • Employee referral bonuses
  • Paid onboarding and job-specific training
What Makes This Role Different?
You're a leader, a coach, a teacher, and a problem-solver—all in one. As an Aquatics Operations Manager, you'll:
  • Lead your team: Guide swim instructors and support staff, provide real-time coaching, and help create a positive, accountable work environment.
  • Make a difference for kids: Teach swim lessons and help children develop water safety skills, confidence, and a love of swimming.
  • Run the show: Oversee daily campus operations, support scheduling and shift execution, and help ensure everything runs efficiently.
  • Be hands-on: Confidently step into swim instruction, deck supervision, front desk operations, or other onsite responsibilities when needed.
  • Develop others: Support employee onboarding, training, and professional growth.
  • Create great experiences: Communicate with families, resolve challenges, and maintain AquaTech's high standards for safety and service.
You won't just supervise from the sidelines. You'll lead by example.

Who Thrives in This Position?
You might be a great fit if you're someone who:
  • Naturally takes initiative and enjoys leading others
  • Is comfortable coaching employees and holding people accountable
  • Loves working with children and families
  • Can confidently switch between responsibilities without losing focus
  • Communicates clearly and handles challenges professionally
  • Enjoys an active, fast-paced workplace
  • Takes pride in reliability, consistency, and doing things well
Previous aquatics experience is a plus, but not required. We're especially interested in strong leaders with excellent people skills who are excited to learn our teaching methods.

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old or older
  • At least one year of leadership or team-lead experience
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification; proof required before onboarding begins
  • Ability to swim and teach lessons in the water
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Your Schedule
Full-time | Year-round | Five days per week | Consistent weekly schedule
  • Our campuses operate seven days a week, and weekend availability is an important part of this leadership position.
  • Weekday shifts: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Weekend shifts: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM
At least one regularly scheduled weekend day is required. Working two regularly scheduled weekend days provides eligibility for the higher attendance bonus.

Paid Training — We'll Prepare You for Success
We invest in getting our leaders fully prepared before they take on independent responsibilities. Our structured onboarding program includes three weeks of mandatory, paid training at $20/hour.
  • Weeks 1–3: Alameda Campus
  • Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Additional scheduled training on one or both weekend days
  • Week 3: Training follows your assigned regular work schedule
Because this is a structured training program, attendance at all assigned training sessions is required. Training dates and times are predetermined and cannot be rescheduled to accommodate personal availability. Please ensure you can attend the full training program before applying.

What to Expect Physically
This is an active, hands-on position in a warm indoor aquatic environment. You'll work in and around an indoor pool maintained at approximately 89–92°F, spend much of your shift standing or moving, work on wet pool decks, and physically assist children weighing approximately 20–50 pounds. These are essential job functions.

Ready to Lead and Make a Difference?
At AquaTech Swim, our work is about more than teaching swimming. We're helping children become safer, more confident swimmers while building a team of people who take pride in what they do.

If you're looking for a leadership opportunity that combines people management, teaching, teamwork, and meaningful daily impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and take the next step in your leadership career!
