Architect Commerce Cloud (Hybris) -Mountain View, CA
Key Responsibilities
- Own the overarching technical architecture connecting digital storefronts, Commerce Core, Middleware, ERP, and Logistics engines.
- Lead Architectural Review, evaluations, define coding standards, enforce integration design patterns, and ensure platform scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Engineering leadership to align technical capabilities with complex business initiatives.
- Design robust, bi-directional integration pipelines between SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP systems
- Define enterprise messaging standards using synchronous (REST /GraphQL) and asynchronous mechanisms for high-throughput data exchange.
- Architect multi-node order routing, order splitting logic (multi-warehouse / drop-ship), and fulfillment prioritization rules based on real-time cost and proximity.
- Ensure platform stability during peak global traffic events (handling tens of thousands of orders per minute) through distributed caching, asynchronous queueing, and database sharding.
- Design resilient integration boundaries with circuit breakers, idempotent retry policies, and zero data loss event handling during downstream ERP or 3PL outages.

- Strong database modeling skills across relational (SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA) and NoSQL/In-Memory databases (Redis, Memcached).
- Experience architecting and integrating LLM/GenAI applications into production workflows (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI/Gemini APIs, RAG architectures, Agentic frameworks).
- Familiarity with Vector Search/Databases (e.g., Pinecone, pgvector) and hybrid search implementations.
- Experience designing inference pipelines with strict latency, rate-limiting, and cost-control constraints.
- Demonstrated expertise architecting Unified Commerce Platforms (UCP) connecting unified carts, and managing Checkout process.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Certified SAP Commerce Cloud Enterprise Architect or SAP Integration Specialist.
- Experience with cloud-native migrations (GCP, AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD orchestration.
