Architect, Data
Job purpose
To design and govern the enterprise data architecture, ensuring data is structured, integrated, secure, and high-quality to support business operations, analytics, and regulatory compliance.
Key accountability areas
Data architecture design:- Design and maintain the enterprise data architecture across the organization.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business and technical requirements.
- Define data standards, architecture principles, and integration patterns.
- Design and oversee data integration solutions across multiple systems and platforms.
- Define ETL/ELT processes and ensure reliable data flow between source and target systems.
- Address data redundancy, inconsistency, and fragmentation issues.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and controls.
- Contribute to data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure proper metadata management and data lineage tracking.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and privacy teams to ensure secure data architecture.
- Support compliance with data protection regulations such as PDPL and GDPR where applicable.
- Implement data classification and access control standards.
- Evaluate and recommend data architecture tools, technologies, and platforms.
- Support database design (relational and non-relational systems).
- Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Delivery:- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Solve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
Business process improvements:Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Health, safety and environment:Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Academic qualification
Bachelor degree in Information Technology or any relevant field.
Work experience
6 to 10 years.
