Role Overview

As an Architect at ELE Interior, you will lead the design and execution of architectural and interior design projects, integrating both architectural and interior design principles. This hybrid role involves working across all project areas, including luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality. We're looking for someone with a strong drive for architecture and a passion for interior design. You will oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring seamless integration between architecture, interiors, and external teams such as third-party suppliers or external architecture providers. This role demands a balance of design leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration across multiple disciplines.

Main Scope of Responsibilities:

Project Ownership & Design Leadership:

• Lead Projects: Take full ownership of architectural and interior design projects, ensuring high-quality design integration across spaces, finishes, and functionality. Lead the design development from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring alignment with the client’s vision and expectations.
  
• Client Interaction: Be the primary point of contact for clients for both architectural and interior design aspects. Manage meetings, gather feedback, and refine designs as needed to meet client requirements.
  
• Design Strategy: Oversee architectural concepts, space planning, materials, and finishes, ensuring they align with design intent while remaining functional and aesthetically pleasing. Lead interior design strategy for luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
  

Collaboration & Coordination:

• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with designers, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution. Liaise with third-party suppliers or external teams (landscape companies, architecture providers, etc.) for the successful integration of all design elements.
  
• Work with Other Teams: Manage and oversee internal teams such as 3D visualization, procurement, and design departments to ensure seamless project progression.
  
• Landscape & External Collaborations: Coordinate with third-party suppliers or external teams to ensure cohesive exterior and interior design integration, particularly for residential, commercial, and hospitality properties.
  

Design Support & Technical Responsibilities:

• Space Planning & Layouts: Lead the creation of functional and aesthetic floor plans and elevations. Work to optimize space usage, ensuring designs meet client specifications and local building codes.
  
• Architectural Drawings & Visualizations: Manage and review detailed 2D architectural drawings to effectively communicate concepts.
  
• Material and FF&E Selection: Curate and select materials and furnishings that support the design vision, with special focus on luxury interiors and high-end finishes. Manage the logistics and procurement of large quantities of FF&E, including items sourced internationally (e.g., China), and create and manage detailed specification sheets to ensure compliance with hospitality standards.
  
• Building Codes & Regulations: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental requirements, with strong regional knowledge, across all sectors.
  

Client Communication & Project Management:

• Client Presentations: Lead client presentations and meetings to discuss concepts, design plans, and revisions, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with the vision.
  
• Project Updates & Reporting: Keep clients informed of project progress, addressing any issues and concerns promptly. Provide regular updates on architectural and interior design milestones.
  
• Site Supervision & Quality Control: Visit project sites regularly to ensure designs are being implemented as planned, addressing any on-site issues and maintaining design integrity.
  
• Schedules and Timelines: Develop and manage project schedules for design and architecture phases, ensuring timely completion of each stage. Monitor progress and address delays to maintain project timelines.
  

Team Collaboration & Leadership:

• Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers and other team members, fostering growth and collaboration within the studio.
  
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to design execution. Work closely with the procurement and 3D visualization teams to align designs across all disciplines.
  

Professional Development & Industry Engagement:

• Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in both interior design and architecture.
  
• Represent the Company: Attend key industry events and conferences to enhance professional networks and stay informed of industry best practices.
  

Documentation & Organization:

• Project Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed project documentation, including client communications, approvals, and design modifications.
  
• Approvals & Signatures: Ensure that all project documents are signed and filed in accordance with company standards.
  

Sample Room & Material Management:

• Material Organization: Manage the sample room, ensuring that materials from local suppliers are well-organized and available for projects.
  

Requirements

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• Software Proficiency: Expertise in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design tools. Familiarity with 3D rendering software and 3D modeling is a plus, though 3D visualizations will be prepared by internal or external resources.
  
• Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel as required for project-related activities.
  
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with experience and a strong interest in undertaking full Interior Design work.
  
• Experience: Proven experience in luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
