What you’ll do
Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
- Landscape Ownership: Own the end-to-end technical landscape of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and associated cloud environments.
- Strategic Roadmap: Define and maintain the architectural roadmap, ensuring complete alignment with Business Process Owner (BPO) strategies across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
- Transformational Innovation: Evaluate and recommend emerging SAP technologies, such as SAP AI Core and Advanced Analytics, to aggressively drive the CoE's Transformational service tier.
Technical Governance & The "Clean Core"
- System Authority: Act as the ultimate authority on system modifications by rigorously reviewing and approving or rejecting custom code (Z-code) requests to enforce the "Clean Core" mandate.
- Development Standards: Dictate development standards, explicitly guiding the development team to utilize SAP BTP for extensions rather than modifying core S/4HANA source code.
- Governance Leadership: Chair the Architectural Review Board (ARB) to ensure all system enhancements align with enterprise security, compliance, and performance standards.
Integration & Ecosystem Mapping
- Ecosystem Architecture: Architect robust, secure, and low-latency integration patterns between SAP and critical third-party systems such as procurement portals, HRIS, and fleet management.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data flows seamlessly across the ecosystem, directly supporting the Master Data Architect in maintaining the "Single Source of Truth".
Resilience, Capacity, and Performance
- System Resilience: Partner with system engineers to expertly design high-availability, disaster recovery (DR), and failover architectures.
- Capacity Planning: Proactively monitor system capacity and architectural bottlenecks, ensuring the system can handle the immense transactional volume of a rapidly expanding enterprise.
