Architect-Semi Conductor

Summary

Designs semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities, creating cleanroom layouts and BIM models in Revit/AutoCAD while coordinating with MEP and structural teams.

  • Develop architectural designs and detailed construction documentation for Semiconductor FAB, ATMP, and Advanced Manufacturing facilities.
  • Prepare Site Master Plans (SMP), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Floor Plans, Elevations, Sections, Details, and architectural BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Design cleanroom layouts, support spaces, utility corridors, equipment rooms, administrative buildings, warehouses, and ancillary facilities in accordance with semiconductor industry requirements.
  • Coordinate architectural design with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Structural, Fire Protection, and Civil disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Develop and maintain BIM models (LOD 300–350+) throughout project design stages while ensuring compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, life safety regulations, accessibility standards, cleanroom requirements, and client-specific design guidelines.
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering exercises, and constructability assessments to optimize project cost, schedule, and functionality.
  • Assist in the preparation of architectural specifications, material selections, finish schedules, and technical reports.
  • Review contractor shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation for architectural compliance.
  • Support construction teams by providing technical clarifications and conducting periodic site visits to verify design implementation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate with Process Engineering teams to accommodate manufacturing equipment layouts and future expansion requirements.
  • Work closely with Structural and MEP disciplines to resolve spatial conflicts and optimize building functionality.
  • Conduct clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Participate in internal and client coordination meetings and support design presentations.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience working on Semiconductor FAB and/or ATMP facilities is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cleanroom planning, industrial building design, life safety, accessibility, and building code requirements.
  • Proficiency in Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of architectural detailing, specifications, construction methodologies, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Familiarity with LEED principles and sustainable design practices is an advantage.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in architectural design for semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, Industrial, data center, or high-tech facilities.
  • Semiconductor experience preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional teamwork and client interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
