An architecture-level system administrator who leads enterprise Windows/Linux server environments, defining standards for hardening, backup, patching automation and security compliance while driving modernization through virtualization, hyperconverged platforms and cloud migration readiness. Also mentors system engineers and handles root-cause analysis, HA and capacity planning.
1. Role Purpose : Leads enterprise system administration, automation, and compute platform modernization, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient operations across on-premise and cloud-based server environments.
2. Key Responsibilities:
· Lead architecture, design, and optimization of enterprise server environments across Windows/Linux platforms.
· Define system administration standards, hardening baselines, backup strategies, and lifecycle management practices.
· Oversee configuration management, patching automation, and OS-level security compliance for large-scale environments.
· Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives including virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, and cloud migration readiness.
· Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
· Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and capacity planning across compute and storage environments.
· Collaborate with security teams to enforce identity, access, endpoint protection, and audit requirements.
· Support release cycles, change management, and compute platform readiness for enterprise upgrades.
· Provide technical leadership to system engineers, guiding them on best practices and operational excellence.
