Architectural Co-Ordinator
Summary
Coordinates architectural drawings, shop drawings, and site work to ensure compliance with design intent, codes, and authority requirements in Singapore construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Documentation Coordination
- Coordinate architectural and interior drawings, shop drawings, and construction details with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
- Review architectural and interior shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions for compliance with design intent and specifications
- Ensure timely issuance and updating of construction drawings and revisions
- Maintain proper document control for architectural submissions and approvals
- Identify and resolve clashes or discrepancies between Architectural, M&E, and C&S works
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes of practice, and authority requirements
Site & Construction Coordination
- Coordinate architectural and interior works on site to ensure alignment with approved drawings and construction schedule
- Attend site meetings, technical meetings, and coordination meetings
- Identify, resolve, and track architectural clashes and discrepancies with structural, M&E, and interior works
- Monitor architectural workmanship quality and highlight non-conformances
Authority & Regulatory Coordination (Singapore Context)
- Coordinate submissions and responses related to BCA, URA, SCDF, and other relevant authorities
- Ensure architectural works comply with Singapore building codes, including BCA regulations and Approved Documents
- Support TOP/CSC preparation and authority inspections
Consultant & Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with consultants, client representatives, and other specialists/sub-contractors
- Coordinate RFIs and ensure timely responses from consultants
- Assist in resolving design changes and site issues
Authority Submissions & Compliance
- Coordinate with consultants on submissions to authorities
- Ensure works comply with approved plans, statutory requirements, and safety regulations
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants and authorities
- Support statutory submissions, testing, commissioning, and handover processes
Project Administration & Reporting
- Track architectural progress and highlight risks or delays
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and architectural coordination records
- Support project close-out, including as-built drawings and handover documentation
Quality, Safety & Documentation
- Ensure architectural and interior works comply with project quality plans and safety requirements
- Review inspection checklists, test reports, and as-built drawings
- Maintain proper documentation for approvals, inspections, and handover
- Support compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements
Project Support
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and progress reporting
- Coordinate with consultants during design development and construction stages
- Support project handover and defect rectification related to architectural and interior work
Requirement
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Singapore construction projects
- Experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments preferred
- Familiarity with local authority requirements and inspection processes is essential
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of architectural & interior construction detailing and materials
- Familiar with Singapore building regulations and authority submission processes
- Able to interpret architectural, structural, and M&E drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD. BIM knowledge is an advantage - Able to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with design coordination in BIM environments
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
