Architectural Coordinator

Coordinates architectural work, subcontractor progress, and regulatory submissions for construction projects in Singapore, ensuring compliance with local standards and timelines.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage architectural work schedules in accordance with the overall project master programme.
- Coordinate, monitor, and control architectural sub-contractors’ progress, quality, and site activities to ensure smooth execution and avoid conflicts.
- Liaise with consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical, design, and detailing issues.
- Prepare, review, and submit materials, shop drawings, and method statements for consultant and client approval prior to commencement of works.
- Manage and coordinate submissions to relevant authorities (e.g. BCA, URA, SCDF, NEA, LTA, SFA, etc.) and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of approved materials and monitor proper storage, handling, and installation quality on site.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate testing, mock-ups, and trade demonstrations for consultant approval.
- Supervise architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations.
- Verify sub-contractors’ claims and assist the Quantity Surveyor in measurement, variation, and cost verification.
- Support the Project Manager in coordination, documentation, and preparation of handover materials including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
- Propose alternative materials, construction details, or methods to improve cost and time efficiency while maintaining design intent and compliance.
- Control the use of materials, labour, and equipment to ensure productivity and cost efficiency.
- Maintain good working relationships with consultants, clients, authorities, and all project stakeholders
- Ensure all architectural works comply with BCA CONQUAS / Quality Mark standards and the company’s Quality & Management System.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Building, Civil / Structural Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in architectural coordination within the Singapore construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and submission processes to authorities (BCA, URA, SCDF, NEA, LTA, etc.).
- Good understanding of architectural drawings, construction detailing, and sequencing of works.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and project coordination software.
- Familiar with CONQUAS / Quality Mark standards and ISO quality documentation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage site teams and liaise effectively with consultants and clients.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast paced environment.
