About the Team

The TUMO Architectural Team is responsible for the planning, design coordination, and implementation of architectural projects across TUMO centers and educational facilities.

For the Vanadzor Reconstruction Project, the team is working closely with renowned Barcelona-based architects Flores & Prats on the restoration and adaptive reuse of an existing building. The project involves extensive documentation, analysis, and detailing of existing architectural elements to support the reconstruction process.

Internship Purpose

Through participation in the Vanadzor Reconstruction Project, the intern will develop skills in Revit-based documentation, scan-to-BIM modeling, architectural detailing of doors and windows, and the preparation of technical drawings for the restoration and reconstruction of doors and windows. The intern will also collaborate with experienced architects and consultants throughout the project.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the internship, the intern is expected to:

  • Gain practical experience in documenting the doors and windows of existing buildings.

  • Develop proficiency in preparing architectural drawings using Autodesk Revit.

  • Learn methods for measuring, analyzing, and documenting the existing condition of doors and windows.

  • Understand architectural detailing principles, with a particular emphasis on doors and windows.

  • Gain exposure to reconstruction and restoration project workflows and documentation standards.

  • Improve technical drafting accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strengthen communication and collaboration skills by working within a multidisciplinary project team.

What You'll Do

  • Document the existing condition of doors and windows through site measurements and architectural surveys.

  • Prepare accurate Autodesk Revit drawings of doors and windows, including elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.

  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for the restoration and reconstruction of doors and windows.

  • Collaborate with project architects and participate in coordination meetings as required.

Required Background / Eligibility

  • Student or recent graduate in Architecture or a related field.

  • Basic proficiency in Autodesk Revit.

  • Good understanding of architectural drawings and construction documentation.

  • Ability to prepare detailed door and window drawings.

  • Strong attention to detail and technical drafting accuracy.

  • Ability to interpret site measurements, photographs, and architectural surveys.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in the reconstruction, restoration, and documentation of existing buildings, with a particular focus on doors and windows.

  • Basic knowledge of BIM workflows and architectural detailing practices.

  • Familiarity with architectural surveying and measured drawing production.

  • Interest in working on real-world adaptive reuse and heritage-related projects.

A BIM-based portfolio is required and should include project outputs such as drawings, sheets, model screenshots, renderings, and a brief description of your contribution to each project.

Duration - 3-4 months

Weekly Hours - 20 hours and more

Location - Yerevan

Compensation - Paid Internship (Minimum salary requirements apply)

Mentor - Architect / Team Lead

Evaluation & Benefits

Interns will receive mentor guidance, midpoint feedback, final evaluation, an Internship Completion Certificate upon successful completion.

Interns will have the opportunity to participate in a workshop led by the renowned Barcelona-based architects Flores & Prats, focusing on the restoration and adaptive reuse of existing buildings.
