Architectural Manager

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Architectural Manager to lead our architectural team, oversee design coordination, drive technical submissions, and ensure flawless execution across our construction projects.
About the Role
Lead and oversee all architectural aspects of our construction projects throughout the project lifecycle. Manage design coordination, team leadership, technical submissions, authority approvals, and site execution to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Project Management
- Lead and manage a team of Design Coordinators and architectural staff in managing and coordinating architectural works in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Support management in preparing reports, managing documentation, and attending high-level coordination meetings with clients, owners, and consultants.
- Drive continuous improvement in architectural coordination, construction processes, and workflow efficiency.
2. Design Coordination, Submissions &Authority Compliance
- Review and coordinate architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documents.
- Plan, organize, and supervise the production of construction drawings, including shop drawing submissions and approvals well ahead of site schedules.
- Ensure full compliance with local authority requirements (e.g., URA, BCA), codes of practice, and company standards.
- Ensure timely submission of architectural documentation and as-built drawings.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Technical Problem Solving
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of architectural drawings and details.
- Provide technical support to the site team, resolving architectural design, multi-trade coordination issues (involving structural, M&E, and ID trades), and drawing discrepancies during construction.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment on project requirements and expectations (an added advantage).
4. Site Execution, Inspections & Quality Control
- Monitor site progress to ensure architectural works are completed according to approved drawings, workmanship standards, and project schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship, materials, and mock-up units meet architectural requirements and local quality standards.
- Review and approve architectural materials, samples, and final workmanship.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Studies, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry at a managerial level.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction methodology, local submission/authority processes, and project coordination. - Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with BIM/Revit workflows.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; meticulous, highly motivated, and able to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Added Advantages:
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital construction processes.
- Knowledge of Green Mark requirements and buildability principles.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
