Architecture Coordinator

Summary

Coordinates architectural, structural, and M&E drawings, resolves clashes, and supervises on-site construction to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations in Singapore.

  • Coordinate and manage architectural, structural, and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) drawings to resolve clashes and discrepancies before and during construction

  • Review, verify, and coordinate subcontractor shop drawings and material samples for technical compliance and approval

  • Produce additional sketches and detail drawings to clarify design intent or resolve on-site construction issues

  • Ensure all architectural works are executed according to project schedule, specifications, and quality standards

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors on-site to ensure correct work sequencing, accurate dimensions, alignment, and setting-out levels

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship quality, and adherence to safety protocols

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and project management teams on all architectural-related matters

  • Attend and actively participate in technical meetings, progress meetings, and site coordination meetings

  • Identify and proactively resolve site problems in collaboration with relevant engineers and consultants

  • Assist the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor in material quantification, cost control, and variation order management

  • Monitor project milestones and timeline targets, reporting progress updates to the Project Manager

  • Ensure all architectural works comply with contract requirements, building regulations, and Singapore statutory standards (e.g., BCA, URA)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Technology, Interior Design, or a related field

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in a construction company, preferably with a main contractor

  • Proficiency in architectural drafting software such as AutoCAD and Revit (BIM knowledge is an advantage)

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building construction methodologies

  • Good knowledge of Singapore building regulations, codes, and statutory compliance requirements

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Proven problem-solving ability and proactive attitude in resolving on-site technical issues

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a collaborative team player

  • Willing to work on-site and manage day-to-day architectural coordination activities
