Architecture Program Manager – Enablement & Governance

Our partner company, a global financial services firm, is looking for an Architecture Program Manager to join its Architecture & Governance team — driving architecture governance processes, strategic technology programs, and cloud/AI governance initiatives across a large technology organization.

What you'll do

• Manage the end-to-end architecture governance lifecycle and Architecture Review Board (ICAG) operations
  
• Own the ICAG intake process: submission reviews, stakeholder coordination, prioritization, readiness assessment
  
• Facilitate pre-review sessions to ensure proposals are complete and risks are identified
  
• Coordinate governance meeting scheduling, agendas, presenter prep, and supporting materials
  
• Document architecture decisions, risks, exceptions, and recommendations; produce minutes and decision records
  
• Track governance actions and remediation commitments through closure
  
• Continuously improve governance processes, templates, and metrics
  
• Drive execution of architecture strategy, modernization programs, and technology roadmaps
  
• Manage architecture review demand, priorities, and dependencies across multiple portfolios
  
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to align architecture, engineering, and business priorities
  
• Manage governance and intake for cloud architecture and modernization initiatives, including GenAI and emerging technology
  
• Define and maintain governance metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting
  
• Build relationships across Architecture, Engineering, Cloud, Data, Risk, AI, and Business teams
  
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and support executive-level decision-making
  

Requirements

What you'll bring

• 7–15 years of experience in technology program management, architecture governance, or technology strategy
  
• Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives in large enterprise environments
  
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, governance, and technology standards
  
• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and cloud transformation
  
• Experience supporting governance forums / architecture review boards / risk committees
  
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban)
  
• Ability to manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations across initiatives
  
• Excellent organizational, facilitation, and communication skills
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
  

Nice to have

• Experience in Financial Services or another regulated industry
  
• Exposure to AI/GenAI governance considerations
  
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks
  
• Technical background in software engineering, infrastructure, cloud, data, or systems integration
  
• Experience driving technology, cloud, or platform modernization
  
• PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar certification
  
• Strong executive presentation and written communication skills
