Area Awareness Officer

Chesley Brown International is currently interviewing candidates for Area Awareness Officer positions in the Midtown, Kansas City area. We are looking for sharp, professional, and reliable individuals who are committed to providing excellent service and maintaining a safe environment.

As an Area Awareness Officer, you will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a visible presence, monitoring for suspicious activity, enforcing site policies, and responding calmly and effectively to incidents as they arise.

Example of Duties:

• Serve as goodwill ambassadors, information sources, and positive welcoming advocates for the District.

• Communicate Kansas City resources, sites of interest, and current entertainment options to assist shoppers and visitors.

• Interact with business representatives and tenants to foster communication and provide support.

• Patrol designated areas by bicycle, vehicle, and on foot, supporting the Kansas City Police Department, Kansas City Public Works, and maintenance crews by reporting problem areas and needs via communication devices.

• Assist with first aid and emergency situations.

• Represent the District and the Public Safety Program in a professional manner at meetings and special events.

• Complete daily activity reports and other assignments as directed by the Operations Manager or designated supervisor.

• Participate in special assignments, both individually and collaboratively.

• Support cleanliness efforts by helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout the District.
